Al graduated from the University of Akron and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He served as a Navy pilot in WWII and was a member of Kiwanis International. Al retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, Advertising Dept, after 36 years. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and tennis player. Among his accomplishments, he was the 1957 National Accuracy Casting Champion.
Preceded in death by his wife Kathyrn L (nee: Wohlford)
Survived by his children Steven (Joan) of Tallmadge, OH and Robert (Cherie) of Midland, MI.; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
