Arthur Leo Mullen Jr.

Arthur Leo Mullen, Jr died Thursday, July 13, 2023 after a short illness. Arthur was born January 21, 1931 in Gloversville, New York to Arthur and Louise Mullen. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Jeanne Elizabeth (Drummond) Mullen in 2019. He is survived by four sons and their spouses: Arthur L. and Susan Mullen, Michael J. and Melinda Mullen, Timothy J. and Doreen Mullen and Patrick R. and Kim Mullen. Arthur also had the joy of being a wonderful grandfather to Terry, Makayla, Laura, Elizabeth, Ryan, Brandon and Maggie.

Arthur graduated from Brockton High School and then earned a textile engineering degree from Lowell Technology Institute. After graduating in 1952, he enlisted in the Marines as a tank commander in Korea, served as operation support in Vietnam and ran the Marines Toys for Tots before retiring as a Major in 1972. During his service, Arthur was awarded a Bronze Star with V for heroism in combat and also provided military security for John F. Kennedy and his family while the president was at his Florida home.

After retiring from the Marines, Arthur held executive director rolls for various legal and real estate associations in Maryland, Ohio, Texas, Nevada and Florida.

During his last few years, Arthur resided at Brookdale Bath in Fairlawn, Ohio where he made numerous friends with residents and staff.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM with funeral service following at 2:30 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 West Market St. Fairlawn, OH
