Carol was born October 1, 1939 in Chelsea, Iowa to the late Donald and Lucille (Stanek) Hrabak.
Carol was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she served as an eucharistic minister for many years. Carol was generous with her time and money, she gave to many charities that cared for animals and people. She enjoyed the outdoors, and she loved gardening and her flowers as well. Carol loved her grandchildren dearly and was a proud grandmother.
Besides her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Coughlin, and her brother, Dean Hrabak.
Carol is survived by her son, Joseph Coughlin, her daughter, Frances Saffles, four grandchildren, Samantha Saffles, Jonathan (Cheryl) Saffles, Dusty Saffles, and Katie Coughlin; Carol also leaves seven great grandchildren, Elliot, Antonio, Frankie, Draven, Dontae, Eliana, and Addilyn, her sisters, Rosemarie Pudoka and Joan Willenborg, and lots of nieces and nephews and friends.
Friends may call 9:30 to 11AM, Wednesday, February 12th at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately after calling hours at 11AM with Fr. Matthew Pfeiffer, officiant. Entombment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
