

Dewey was in the care of Hospice in home care, special thank you to Debbie for all your love and support.
Dewey retired from Frank J Stolitzkas and Son in 1993. He spent his retirement years fishing, scrapping
fixing ole lawn mowers and spending time in his garage tinkering with whatever.
He looked forward to every evening to come where he enjoyed going to Golden Corral for dinner.
In his later years he made sure he was right with God and sang songs, talked the word and read the
Bible.
He was born in Harlen County, Kentucky.
Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Joan E. Proffitt (Crissman), his mother Devisee Brock, Father
Dewey Proffitt, sister Norma Jean ,his twin baby brother Lyle,sister Sarah Clark(Richard),Brother Lester
Proffitt (Vada), Grandson Daniel and Kristy Henry.
Dewey is survived by sister Brenda Hutchison, step son Joe Crisssman, Daughter Peggy Henry (Gary),
Son Lester Proffitt (Cindy),Daughter Alisa Proffitt and Daughter Connie Janis (Vince).
Loving grandfather of David Proffitt, Kayla Crissman, Erica Proffitt, Bradley Janis (Tiffany Murphy), Chad Janis, Melissa
Janis, Jason Morris, Amanda Coberly, Christine, Greg and Shawn Henry.
Dearest great grandfather of Cody Hall, Dustin Proffitt, Madison Proffitt, Emma Crissman
Zoey Janis, Phillip, Cadance, Dallas and Mya Henry.
Dewey had many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 11th, 12 noon at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME
3653 W. Market Street, Fairlawn where the family will receive friends Monday, 10am until time of
service.
