Paul was born on November 25, 1941 in Gallipolis, Ohio to E. Paul, Sr., and Amy (Dye) Morehouse. He graduated from East High School and then onto Heidelberg University to receive his undergraduate degree, and finally to Western Reserve University for his Master’s Degree in History. Paul taught history at East High School and also at the University of Akron. He was on the State Teachers Retirement System Board and a past President of the Akron Education Association. Paul was a lifelong genealogist. Paul was the President and on the board of the Ohio Genealogical Society. Paul was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society, Society of the War of 1812, and the Ohio Historic Records Advisory Board. He loved dogs and was the President and on the Board of the Rubber City Kennel Club for years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul will be deeply missed by his loving partner of 51 years, Ralph Levi, sisters, Alyce (Charles) Altwies, and Elizabeth Meckler, niece, nephews, grand-niece and grand-nephews, and one great-grand-nephew.
Friends and family may come to call on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 West Market Street. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
