She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. Jacque was born in Akron, to Florence and Eustis Simmons and graduated from North High school in 1946. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother.
Jacque leaves behind her husband of over 64 years; Russel, daughters; Kathy Boesch and Carolyn Lappert, sons; Steve (Dana) and Mark (Mary), grandchildren; Stephanie Boesch, Bryan, and Jessica Lappert, and Alison Boesch, former daughter in-law Linda Bloniarz, and niece Judy (Bill) McDowell.
One of Jacque’s greatest accomplishments was returning to school after starting her family. She graduated from Akron University with a degree in education and later returned for her Master’s degree in reading. She taught third grade for Akron Public Schools for over 30 years. A life-long learner, she was studying Spanish and art prior to falling ill in December. She was a voracious reader and loved nothing more than curling up with a good book.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Ledges at Rockynol and Hospice of Summa for the loving care they gave to Jacque.
A memorial service celebrating Jacque’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jacque’s name to Rockynol Life Care Fund 1150 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44313.
