

Jacqueline “Jackie” Worthy of Akron, Ohio transitioned from her earthly life on September 9, 2015 after battling cancer. Jackie was born on March 13, 1950 to Walter Coleman and Lucille Deloris Worthy.
Jackie graduated from Buchtel High School and went on to work diligently as a radiologist at the Brecksville VA Hospital into retirement after over 25 years of dedicated service. Following her retirement, she went on to pursue various positions fueled by her commendable work ethic and joy of service.
Jackie was always the life of the party and radiated the room with her infectious smile. She was sure to fill any room with laughter, song and dance. Jackie dedicated her life to creating a life filled with vibrant memories. Jackie traveled much of the world before the age of 40. Jackie’s travels included Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, and Holland. Jackie was an avid skier and member of a Ski Club. Jackie also enjoyed, shopping, gardening, ice and roller skating. Jackie was always well known for her eclectic taste in art, music, and fashion.
Jackie was passionate about life but most of all her family. There was nothing more important to her than family. She loved to capture these joyous memories on camera. Jackie drove people crazy with her camera, but she always took the best photos.
Jackie is survived by her sister Barbara Perkins; brother Julian (Keya) Worthy; nieces Tamika Perkins and Nia Worthy; nephews LeNier Worthy, Elijah Owens, and Gavin Worthy; Special Cousin Eula Guess and a host of loving cousins, family and friends. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lucille Worthy.
