My thoughts are with Jim's family.
He was such a good man. Jim always watched out for me and helped me become a better musician. My life would be vastly different without him. He will be missed and always loved.

I remember Jim so fondly growing up. We went all through school together - always "attached" because when the teachers lined us up alphabetically, I was always right after Jimmy - and that lasted all through elementary school and on into the rest of our school years.My deepest condolences go out to your family - and ThankYou Buddy Hartman for being there for Jim!! I had the opportunity to play in a band and perform with Jim in the early 1980s in Bloomington. Jim was a really great guy to work with, and was quite patient with me as I was just learning how to play base at the time. I will always remember him fondly as a good friend, my sincere condolences to his family.

My heart goes out to everyone who is grieving for Jim. I was lucky enough to be in his circle of friends during his time in Austin. Smart, funny, talented--rest in peace, Jim.

Nadine,  I send my love and sympathy to you at this time.  Years ago Jim was in my seventh-grade language arts class at Eastview.   I can't express the hurt and loss that I and Jim's family and friends are feeling. I shall always remember the times we shared the stage, the shows we saw, and the times we spent together as friends.  Jim was and always will be one of my best friends.  His laugh his smile his warm heart will always be with me to remind me of our close friendship. The last time that I saw Jim, the years seemed to melt away, we laughed and joked as if time had stood still.  His time on Earth was far too short, rest in peace my friend the world is a darker place with out you.

my condolances Nadine on your loss.We  pal'd around during high school and jim was always quick with a joke Although i have not seen him since then,he will be missed. Take solace in the fact that he is at peace and you WILL see him again, and he's in the greatest band with the greatest players now.

After all of these years, my first thought of Jim was how kind he was when I knew him in high school.  My heart aches to lose old friends. My prayers are with the family..
