Marion Jean Wood

entered into rest peacefully June 7, 2013.

Marion was born Chicago, IL., She grew up on Long Island.

She attended Green Mountain College where she met her future husband,

Raymond. Marion entered an accelerated nursing program at Brynmar College

and graduated from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing with a BSN in 1946.

She retired from the Barberton Citizens Hospital as a registered nurse and instructor.

Marion is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Raymond.

She was the loving mother of Richard, Donald, and Patricia Presto (Joseph).

Dearest grandmother of Kelly Statz (Joseph),Tim Wood (Natalie),

and Erica Smith (Michael). Dear great grandmother of Michael Statz,

Isabelle Wood and Carter Smith.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 19th, 8:30am,

at the St. Andrew’s Church, Fifth Street and Hopocan Avenue NW, Barberton, Ohio.

Inurnment will take place promptly at 10:45am at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery ( Please Meet at the gate .)

The family would like to express their gratitude for the caring and compassionate staff

at the Akron General VNS Hospice Care Center Akron , Ohio.
