Mark A Golina

September 17, 1966 - August 23, 2015.

Mark Anthony Golina left this earth on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Mark was born in Akron, Ohio on September 17th, 1966. Mark graduated from Harvey S. Firestone High School and studied at the University of Akron where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

As a young man, Mark learned the automotive trade with his father and mentor, Thomas Golina, at the family business, Action Auto Recycling of Barberton, Ohio. Mark was a successful automobile salesman in Akron before embarking on a successful commodities career in structural steel sales at Florida Pipe and Steel of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mark enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, travel, reading and his dogs Jack and Carrine. Mark will be missed by many friends, former coworkers and relatives.

Mark was preceded in death by his loving parents, mother Nancy Golina (nee Frye) and father Thomas Golina and grandparents Allen and Betty Frye and Joseph and Amelia Golina. Mark leaves behind his sister, Jennifer Golina, cousins Doug Frye, Shannon Renninger, Brian Antoinette, Steve Frye and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 pm Wednesday September 2, 2015 when family will receive friends at calling hours from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 West Market Street.
