Patricia Lee Popeko

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Frank Popeko, daughters Patti Smerk (Don) and Leanne Swift (Brian), granddaughter Avorie Swift, niece Tammy Bradley (Ross), great nephew Benjamin Bradley, great niece Ella Bradley, and many dear friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen Obojtek, brother Joseph Obojtek, and grandmother Helen Palicka.

Pat was raised in Aurora, Ohio and was a long time resident of Cuyahoga Falls. She was an avid baker, and loved to make annual Christmas cookies and Kolache cookies for family events. She loved the Lord and enjoyed doing morning devotions every day for much of her life. She had a generous heart and a listening ear, and was faithful to pray for things shared with her. Sending cards and letters was her ministry and another way she showed love and care.

Pat will be greatly missed. We will cherish our memories and look forward to seeing her again when God calls us to join her in Heaven.

We’d like to thank her caregivers at the nursing home where she resided for all the love you showed her these past 5 years. Thank you also to hospice who provided extra care, support, and prayers.

A private family service to honor Pat is planned.
