Born on December 6, 1930, in Akron, Ohio, Virginia was the daughter of the late Richard R. and Virginia B. (Sayre) Allen. A proud 1949 graduate of Kenmore High School, she was honored to be the school’s first-ever majorette.
Virginia had a love for sewing, crocheting, and knitting, and was an avid shopper—especially fond of QVC. She spent many enjoyable years working at JoAnn Fabrics, a job she truly loved. Earlier in life, she was employed by several local automotive companies, including Southwest Dodge, Westside Plymouth, and Borden Auto—where she met her beloved husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her son, Richard “Rick” Norris; and her grandson, Joseph Kaiser.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Chet) Puett; son, Dale (Nicky) Norris; grandchildren, Kristin, Ryan, Nick (Michelle), and Christopher (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Skylar, Alanna, Brooklyn, and Landon; her sister, Marilyn Deiss; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
