Annette Mabrey Valentine

Annette was born on September 17, 1961 in Eureka, CA to Etta (Heady) and Anderson Franklin “Frank”

Mabrey.

She was a United States Veteran of the Army, who served in peace time. Annette worked for the State of Illinois as an accountant. She also served as a tour guide to historic sites in Springfield.

Annette enjoyed fishing, and loved her pets, however her pride and joy was her daughter and three grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for “being there for anyone and everyone who needed a

listening ear and a friend.”

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.

She is survived by her mother, Etta Mabrey, her daughter, Christa (Matt. B. ) Fisher, her sister, Mary (Richard) Short, three brothers: Donald (Mela) Mabrey, Anderson (Lisa) Mabrey, Dale (JoAnne) Mabrey and three grandchildren: Desiree’ Martin, Isaih Martin and Jaxson Martin.

Funeral service for Annette Mabrey Valentine will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at Ingram Funeral Home, with Greg Short officiating, burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Ellery, IL. with Military Rites.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013 at the funeral home.

Annette was a “jeans and t-shirt” girl, so to honor her memory, please dress casually for her visitation and funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family for funeral expenses.
