Her words: “I was born January 3, 1935 at 1204 S. Elm Street in Jackson, MI in grandma Mietelka’s house. Born to Leonard S. (1911-1974) and Adeline H. (Mietelka) Soltis (1914-1976). I married David L. Mills on February 19, 1955 and he preceded me in death on September 14, 2010.
Also preceding me in death were my brother Richard Soltis in 1995 and my sister Patricia Lindbert in 2016; and my beloved 15 year old pet Chihuahua “Peanut” in 2015.
I graduated from Jackson St. Mary’s High School in 1953. I worked at the famous Regent Café all
throughout high school. I helped open the Albion Kroger store, worked as a cook for 10 years at the Albion Elk’s Lodge #1798, and had a 20 year catering business before my health turned.
“I have been cremated. There will be no service. I had a good life.”
May God especially bless my sons Thomas, Daniel and Steven for their many years of care
before my death.”
