

Doris graduated from Albion High School in 1970 and briefly attended Kellogg Community College. She was baptized at a young age at Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member, and later attended Bread of Life.
In her professional life, Doris worked briefly in manufacturing and served as a Teacher's Aide at Harrington Elementary. Her dedication to her work and her community was evident in all she did.
Doris enjoyed going to church and being around family and friends. As a child, she cherished ice skating with her Uncle Joe. Her favorite hobby was cooking Sunday meals, a tradition that brought joy and togetherness to those she loved.
Doris Jean McCracken will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her kind-hearted nature, and her devotion to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her. She was taken care of by her special friend, Mrs. Clarissa Lewis.
She is survived by her children, Asia McCracken of Lansing, MI and Monter Glasper of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Terry (Elvira) McCracken and sister, Darlene McCracken; three grandchildren, Montrell II, Mon'Tay, and Mon'Tasia Embry, and god-daughter, Tresses (Roger) Jones-Munford, North Chesterfield, VA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, D.C. McCracken and Elizabeth Richardson.
Services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026. A Family Hour will begin at 11:00AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. Doris will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, MI.
