
Frank “Jake” R. Jacobs Jr., age 79 of Albion passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Detroit V.A. Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He was born September 12, 1931 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Frank R. and Mary (Caron) Jacobs Sr. He had been married to Doris Walker and Carol Yerbarg which ended in divorce.
He worked at Corning Glass for 14 years, then was a bartender at Charlie’s Tavern, then tended bar at local tavern’s for many years. Jake owned Jake’s Restaurant in Albion, he enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and University of Notre Dame baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother
According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of life on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224
