Gary Cooper Sr.

Gary “Rat” Cooper Sr., age 59 of Detroit formerly of Albion passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Arcadia, Louisiana. He was born February 23, 1952 in Albion, Michigan to Tillman and Juanita H. (Cooper) Williamson.

Rat attended Crowell Schools & Albion High School. He moved to Lansing in 1986 and then to Detroit in 1986 where he was a 2000 Graduate of Wayne County Community College with an Associates Degree, then he received his Bachelors in 2008 from Madonna College, then he moved to Grambling, Louisiana in 2011 to pursue his Masters Degree.

Sister- Yevonne Cooper Frisques of Columbus, GA

Brothers- Ronald R. Cooper of Portage

Jerry (Sandra) Cooper of Albion

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother Linda “Nannie” Cooper.

According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 12:00 (Noon) at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor Eddie Simpson officiating. Family Hour will be Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
