
He was born February 12, 1936 in Albion, Michigan to Jay and Donna (Coleman) Perdue. On February 12, 1999 he was married to Joan J. Michalski in Battle Creek and she survives.
He has been a resident of the area for most of his life, moving back to Albion from Marshall in 1999. He worked at Union Steel in Albion and Sharp’s Hardware before going to work at Albion Industries for 28 years retiring in 1998. He was a former member of the Albion Moose Lodge. He was fond of his Deer Club; Bowling; golfing on T.V.; spending time with his family and drinking coffee with his buddies at Alice’s Diner.
Besides his wife Joan of Albion, he is survived by daughters Amy (Nile) Hanchett of Marshall; Carie (Larry) Cowger of Fowlerville; stepdaughter Denise Streeter of Albion; stepson Michael (Christine) Streeter of Lansing; 11 Grandchildren; his twin brother Gerald (Kathleen) Perdue of Fayette, OH; brother Lowell “Don” (Vernita) Perdue of Hubbard Lake, MI; sister Beatta DonSang of Saginaw, MI and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepdaughter Kimberly Campbell in 1999.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday July 2, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Services will be Monday July 2, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home with Fr. Joe Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion Twp., Michigan.
