Mr. Henry Murphy

Henry G. Murphy Jr., age 79 of Albion passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Carelink of Jackson, Michigan. He was born October 23, 1931 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to Henry G. and Gertrude (Hyder) Murphy Sr. In 1959 he married Coreaster Rodgers who survives.

Henry worked at Hayes-Albion for 43 years then he was an orderly at Calhoun County Medical Care for 14 years. He was a member of the East Chestnut Church of Christ, enjoyed gardening, music and sitting on his porch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Phil, Daughter Delinda, Brother John and Sister Birdia.

Funeral Service will be Monday, July 11, 2011 at Noon (12:00 P.M.) at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Dr. Paul Hubbard II officiating. Family Hour will be Monday, July 11th from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Visitation for Family and Friends will be Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion, Michigan.
