Ishneal Jimmie Hunter, age 83 of Albion passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. He was born March 1, 1937 in Caretta, West Virginia the son of David and Velma (Caudill) Hunter and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmie, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Ishneal served our country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He married Charline Sprouse on May 7, 1955. They would have celebrated 65 years this coming May. Ishneal and Charline loved to travel over the years, Las Vegas and Daytona Beach were among his favorite places. He also loved to golf and enjoyed the outdoors. He was owner/operator of H&S, Golden Eagle Wood Products, co-owner with his son, Tim of Advance Pallet and also worked for Hayes Albion until his retirement.
In addition to his loving wife, Charline, He leaves 3 children: Darline (Ron) Janes, Teresa (Tim) Cady, Tim Hunter, grandchildren: Jeremiah, Jessica, Josh, Jake, Chad, Iris, Nicholas, Timothy, great-grandchildren: Mila, Gavin and Jace.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 beginning at 11AM until the time of service at 1PM with Pastor Tim Pepper officiating at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion. Cremation to follow and a burial of ashes will take place at a later date with full military honors in Riverside Cemetery.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus mandate from the Infection Prevention and Control World Health Organization, we can only have 10 people present at a time, we will be doing this in groups at the visitation, and then you must leave the facility.
