
Joyce E. Lockwood passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012, she was 88 years old. Joyce was born on January 6, 1924 to Fay and Allie (Yates) Livingston in Albion. She has lived her whole life in Albion, and was a 1941 graduate of Albion High School. Joyce married Lewis Lockwood in 1945; he preceded her in death in 1971.
She was employed for Lonergan Manufacturing prior to marrying Lewis. She then went on to work for Union Steel, but worked most of her career with State Farm Insurance Agency. Joyce then worked for Mowrer Agency part time for a few years. She was a Life Member of Homer Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Along with her husband she was also preceded in death by: 3 brothers, Verne, Daniel and Rex; sister, Elizabeth “Bee” Livingston and stepson, Jack Lockwood.
Surviving is: her sister, Velda (Albert) Morgan of Albion; stepdaughter, Jane (Charles) Briggs of Jackson; stepson, Terrance (Angie) Lockwood of Ft. Worth, TX; special niece, Marlene Young of Albion and several other nieces and nephews. Per Joyce’s wishes no services will be held.
