

Born on February 7, 1963 in Albion, MI to Hermon Sr and Evelyn (Dotson) Gibson. Born and raised in Albion, he graduated from Albion Senior High School class of 1982. After Graduation Kevin served our country in the United States Army for four years, six months and twenty-two days. He went on to earn an Associate degree in Business from Kellogg Community College in 1987. Kevin worked at Starr Commonwealth as a Youth Specialist. He later goes on to work for the Federal Government as a Claims Processor for the Social Security Administration. Where he retired after 30 years.
Kevin loved the University of Michigan. He was a big fan of their basketball and football teams. He supported these teams win or lose. Kevin loved spending time with his family and friends. He always looked forward to the Circle City Classic, the class reunions, jazz and blues festivals. He especially looked forward to our yearly Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner. Kevin loved playing video games and watching political commentary.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Hermon Gibson Jr, Michael Gibson, Beverly Williams, Ronda Gibson and long friend/brother Elgin Bonner.
He leaves to cherish his memory sister Karen Gibson-Riddle, seven nephews and six nieces. A host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. His childhood best friends Glen Williams, Raymond Banks, Bill Reese, Bobby Moore, and Gene Crawford. Neighbor Ahmad and long time friend/co worker Danielle Montgomery.

Services for Kevin will be held on Friday, 3/13/2026, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1010 Chauncey St. Albion, MI 49224. Family Hour will begin at 10:00am followed by a Home Going Celebration at 10:30am. He will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI, with military honors.
