Lauren Edwin Walker, Sr.

Lauren Edwin Walker, Sr., age 60 of Marshall, formerly of Jackson, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice. He was born March 12, 1957 in Jackson, Michigan the son of Edward and Ellen (Waller) Walker and they precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia.

Lauren leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Melissa whom he married on November 21, 2017, his children: Lauren Walker, Jr. and Amaya Walker, step-daughter: Jerrica Sims; 2 grandchildren: Fulala Walker and Jalani Walker and siblings: Holly Jones and Lawrence (Lisa) Walker.

Lauren loved spending time with his family. He also loved watching sports, the Tigers, the Lions and MSU (Go GREEN!), but especially loved attending his daughter’s swim meets. He was an excellent cook and was very talented as well, with his artistic ability to draw as well as writing beautiful poetry and he enjoyed Old School R & B music. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken and there will be no services.
