

Lindbergh Chatman, Jr. passed away in peace on April 16, 2022, at the age of 77. He was born on March 26, 1945, to loving parents, Eula (Rodgers) Chatman and Lindbergh Chatman. After graduating from Albion High school, he went on to attend Western Michigan University, where he ultimately received his Master of Business Administration (MBA). While working toward obtaining his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Michigan, he was recruited to be a manager for oil and robotics companies. He later went on to work in marketing positions for a Fortune 500 telecommunication company. Lindbergh was fond of playing chess, watching westerns, and reading poetry and literature. In addition, he enjoyed participating in community service activities and spending time with his fraternity brothers, as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He was also a thoughtful, kind, and caring father and grandfather.
Preceded in death by his parents, son, Zavier Chatman (from a previous marriage to Willie Artis), sister, Estelle Wallace, and brother, Charles Lewis. He is survived by his former wife and cherished friend, Rosie (Curtis) Chatman, daughter, Dr. Torri (Chatman) Findlay (husband, Dr. Damian Findlay), son, Lindbergh Ulysses Chatman, Esq. (wife, Malaya Chatman), and his six grandchildren: Victoria-Rose Findlay, Michael Findlay, Dorothy Chatman, Frances Chatman, Lindbergh Ulysses Chatman, Jr., and Earnest Claytor Chatman. He is further survived by his siblings, Larry Chatman, Doris K. Chatman, Paul Chatman, and Addie Chatman, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. His legacy lives on through his family, and he truly will be missed.
To honor Lindbergh's memory, his family and friends are invited to celebrate his life. Visitation will be held Friday, April 29 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home in Albion, Michigan. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Albion, Michigan. Family Hour will take place at 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Albion, Michigan.
