
Lois Mae (Miller) Farmer, age 78 died at home on March 27, 2012, surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer. She was born on July 22, 1933 in Albion, Michigan to Ralph and Jenny Ethel Miller. They preceded her in death. She graduated from Washington Gardner High School in 1950. She married Darrell Farmer on April 19, 1952 and they made their home in Albion.
Lois’s first job was at Sullivan’s Ice Cream Shop and also at the College Eat Shop. She later worked as a teacher’s aide at Dalrymple Elementary School. In High School, she was a majorette and played the oboe. After high school, she was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s for many years. She was also a competitive bowler. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family most of all. Her grandchildren even considered her like a mother to them. She was an avid flower gardener; she loved fishing with her sister, Doris on the St. Lawrence Seaway and “modern” camping. She spent many summers at Prairie Lake. She enjoyed attending plays her grandchildren were in. Lois and Darrell will have been married 60 years on April 19th of this year.

Sister- Jeanne (John) Sandusky of Grand Ledge
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Russell Miller, sisters Doris Kirkbride and
Norma Clark.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 12:00PM (Noon) at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 Luther Boulevard, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Vicar Don Johnson officiating.
