Marie "Mica" Hudson

Mica entered into the rest of Christ September 1, 2021, with her daughters, Jessica & Shawna by her side.

Marie married Rodney Darrow, who preceded her in death. They had two daughters. She later married Gene Hudson. They had one daughter.

Mica was not a “member” of any congregation but she LOVED attending Crossroads Church & Ministries when she was able and watching Joel Olsteen on TV. She loved God from the time she was a little girl and trusted God best she could through her entire life. Mica loved to write and read and most of all spend time with her grandchildren. She held many jobs over her life but her favorite by far was being a Foster Grandparent for Community Action’s GSRP Classroom at Crowell School. She spoke often & fondly of her time with Miss Armstrong & Miss Sims.

Mica also loved wind chimes, plants & gardening. She volunteered with the Oak Meadows Community garden and loved spending time with the children and showing them the wonders of growing their own food.

Mica had a heart the size of the Moon! She was everyone’s Gramma and loved feeding people! She also had a mouth the size of Texas! She would cuss you out in a minute and then ask you if you want something to eat.

Mica leaves to cherish her life 4 daughters: Kimberly Darrow, Gilette, WY; Kelly (Joey) Miller of Boone, NC; Shawna (Chris) Gamble, Albion MI & Jessica Bates, Albion, MI.

Sister, Shirley Durston of Linden MI.

Grandchildren: Nicole Harris of Gilette WY, David Harris, of Las Vegas NV, Chance Miller of Boone NC, Corey Gamble, Joh’Nay Gamble, JaMiyah Funderburg, Chris Gamble, JaMari Funderburg, JaKari Funderburg , JaKier Bates of Albion, MI.

Great-Grand Children: Kayden Harris, Alli Harris, Brantley Harris, Lily Harris of Gilette WY, & Nayomi Weatherall of Albion MI.

Lifelong Sister-Friend: Chris DeHate, Special Mother-Friend: Emily Hudson, & Special “daughter” Stacy Curry.

Mica was preceded in Death by her parents, Carl & Adele Kramm; her First husband, Rodney Darrow; and her Brother, David Kramm.
