Mary-Louise D. Hartle

Age 74 of Homer passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born May 14, 1939 to William A. and Dorothy L. (Wheaton) McDonald in Flint, Michigan. On May 4, 1973, she married Harry Hartle who preceded her in death August 23, 2003.

She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary; Lou had worked at Manchester Plastics for a couple years as a press operator, she had worked for Hi-Lex Controls for 3 years and at the Wal-Mart in Jackson, she had also worked in sales at

Clark Station, Lonny’s Supermarket, Hopps Pharmacy and the Shell Station.

Lou is survived by:daughters- Beth Marie Hartle of Litchfield, Teresa Mary Birtland of Traverse City and Rose-Marie D. Lemmink of Stanton; son- William E. Smith of Troy; step-daughter- Mary Hoyt of Homer; (14) Grandchildren; several great grandchildren and brother- Gerald W. McDonald of Little Rock, AR

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son Michael “Big Smitty”G. Smith

There will be no visitation or services. Interment will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
