I'll  miss my scratchy voiced work buddy but you're back in Michigan rip friend

This was a great weekend of the cousins gathering in Jackson (Sargent Road) for a Memorial Day weekend…a few in this picture are gone on …I know you were met with love & hugs!  Stay strong family!  🪽✨

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Rob's passing. I knew Rob as a coworker for many years. He had a personality and presence that made people around him cheer up. His positivity was truly contagious. We shared the appreciation for cool cars and I remember chatting about his Chrysler 300 with him, which I think he was quite proud of. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends in this time of remembrance.

Robbin was an invaluable member of our work team, and a kindly presence. We are grateful to the Byrd family for sharing him with us, and offer them our sincere condolences.

Worked with Rob directly in the warehouse at work for a few years, before I transitioned to finance department for the same company. Rob would make it a point to come out and give me a hug everyday when he knew I was in the office. He was one of the sweetest souls. 

Once in the finance department I started having a clear candy jar on my desk that was welcome to anyone. I would refill it at the end of the day, each day, when it would get low from people eating it throughout the day when they would come to visit. On multiple occasions I would come back in the morning to half the jar gone. After a couple weeks of the same things happening we set up a camera to see who was taking the candy. It was Rob. He would wait till mostly everyone in the front was gone and come take a big handful while he waited for the packages to be picked up, before heading home. I never told him I knew it was him. Just giggled to myself and kept refilling it each day! Guess I know how he got so sweet, he was filling up on sugar each night! <3 

Rob will be sincerely missed. One of the good ones, gone to soon!

Rob had a presence that was impossible to miss. He brought humor, volume, and personality into every space he entered. 

His laughter and larger-than-life energy made work feel more human and more connected. 

Rob was the kind of person who made people smile without trying, and that’s a gift that stays with you long after someone is gone.

In Loving Memory of Robbin Byrd

Robbin Byrd was the kind of person who brought life into every room the moment he walked in. He always had a smile ready and his signature phrase—“I know that’s right”—could lift anyone’s spirits. Every morning, without fail, he would greet me with a joyful, “Good morning, babaaay,” as if we had been best friends our whole lives.

I don’t believe Robbin had an enemy in this world. I never once heard him speak a negative word. He encouraged everyone around him to be their best selves, and he lived that example every day. I had the privilege of working with Rob for over ten years, and I looked forward to seeing him each morning. I can’t ask him now, but I hope he felt the same about me.

Robbin was always willing to help—no matter how difficult the task—and he carried a kindness that was rare and genuine. For many years, we took our three breaks a day together. During those moments, we shared our stories, our struggles, and our victories. I learned about the obstacles he overcame in life, just as he learned about mine. I am truly blessed that our paths crossed and that I was able to have him in my life for a while.

I would ask for more time with him, but instead I choose to picture him walking golden roads now, at peace and full of light. I know he will be watching over us until we meet again.

I wish I could have met his family in a different light. May the lord be with you all in your time of need.
