Steven Wayne Powers

He graduated from Springport High School in 1976 with Honors and was a “Who’s Who” among American high school students. Steve continued his education at General Motors Institute in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2020 as a Software Engineer. Steve loved music. He had a wonderful music talent, knowing how to play many different instruments.

His mother, Shirleen; sisters, Patty Tarpley, Jennifer Oberlin, and Sarah (David) Ewers, and his brother, Rodney (Stephanie) Powers, as well as, several nieces and nephews survive Steve.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Powers; niece, Becky Powers, and his brother-in-law, Ron Oberlin.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at 12:00 PM with the memorial service following at 1:00 PM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224
