Vivian J. Collins, age 93 of Albion passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Medilodge of Marshall, Michigan. She was born July 16, 1922 to Lawrence and Cordia Sisson in Jackson, Michigan. On January 16, 1954 she married Samuel Collins who preceded her in death on February 26, 2011.
Vivian was a wonderful seamstress and very active in her church. She was the family historian by keeping pictures and scrapbooks of all events in her family. Vivian was also a great cook and traveled extensively with her friends.
Vivian is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian was the last surviving sibling of 11 in her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel, all her 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00am at the Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Church, 522 W. Center Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Reverend Donald L. Phillips III officiating. Family Hour will start one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion.
