

Wendell Lance Engelter, age 79 of Albion passed away Monday October 9, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. He was born July 27, 1938 to Louis and Beulah (Mason) Engelter in Olivet, Michigan. In 1996, he married Venia Irene Yoder in Cadillac, who survives.
Wendell proudly served in the U. S. Navy. He was an electrician for Albion Malleable, Sparton Electronics, and Delta Truss. He was a member of the American Legion in Cadillac, Moose Lodge and Leisure Hour Club both in Albion.
Wendell is survived by his wife Venia of 21 years; daughter Melissa Bogdalek; grandchildren, Vincent Samuel Fazio and Max Winter Fazio, Jessica Carpenter, Gabrille and Dakota Shields; brothers Elwyn (Barbara) Engelter of Allegan and Knowle (Patricia) Engelter of Parma. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Lee Engelter and sister Shirleyanne Crannell.
According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday October 19, 2017 from 11:00 – 11:30AM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with a Memorial Service starting at 11:30A with Pastor Robert Bolton officiating.
Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
