Carl Edward Gifford

Carl Edward Gifford, age 59, of Maryville, Tennessee, formerly of Columbia, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Carl was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church and worshipped with his family at Foothills Church. Carl took great pride in attending Columbia Military Academy and graduating from Columbia Central. He furthered his education at M.T.S.U. Carl proudly owned his own lawn care service for 30 years and loved the friendships he made with his customers. He also taught gymnastics for over 30 years. He had a heart for children and took so much pride in his students. Carl's greatest love was his family. Hosting holidays, grilling out, coaching baseball and his time teaching his grandkids gymnastics at home.
Carl was preceded in passing by his parents Charles and Dorothy Gifford and his son Blake Gifford.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Rene Gifford and; step-son , Brandon (Rebekah) Tyler; sisters, Rev. Patricia (Emmett) Chaput, Vicki (Tom) Wright; brothers, twin, Chuck (Jill) Gifford, Rodney (Linda) Gifford; and his precious grandchildren, Hayden Pipkins, Blair Gifford, Lily Tyler, Alaysia Gifford, Christopher Tyler, and Alice Tyler and many nieces, nephews that held a special place in his heart.
The life of Carl will be celebrated with a private Memorial Service with immediate family present.
