Mitchell, James (Audley), age 80 of Maryville passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of Saturday 1 January 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Tate and Margaret Ada Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Violet Lee Wetmore Mitchell; his sons, James Audley Mitchell, Jr. and wife Evelyn Mitchell of Maryville, F. Ray Mitchell and wife Joyce Mitchell of Hixon, TN and Dennis L. Mitchell of Maryville. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; his brother, Joe Mitchell of Maryville and sister, Jane Couch of Oklahoma. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and was a Master Brick Mason. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the request of family, there will be no memorial service planned at this time.
