Jimmie Edward Marrow, born December 28, 1939, passed away on May 24, 2018. Jimmie was a 1959 graduate of Porter High School, where he excelled in several sports. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan, especially the UT Vols and Lady Vols. He enjoyed gospel singing, having sang is several quartets over the years. Jimmie retired from All American Bottling/RC Cola, of Knoxville, Tennessee. Jim was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Maryville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Marrow and Grace M. Marrow. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Bowling Marrow; daughters: Lynne Riggs and husband Bill of Clinton, TN and Missy Freeman and husband Dean of Maryville, TN; grandchildren: Patrick Everett and Lindsay Evans of Knoxville, TN, Melanie Everett of Maryville, TN and J.D. Freeman and wife Kayla of Maryville, TN; great grandchildren: Parker Wenzel of Maryville, TN and Winter Freeman of Maryville, TN; sisters: Bess Humphrey and husband Don of Dalton, GA and Bobbie Carroll of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews, as well as special friends too numerous to mention and his special companion, Bobbi Dog. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 27th from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the Sherwood Chapel. The funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tyson Gaylon and Rev. Gary McCammon officiating.
