

NOEL, Milton Edward, age 89 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010. He was born and raised in Henrietta, Texas. Milton was a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville, and he served in WWII, Army Air Force, 15th AF 450 Bomb Group, 721st Squadron, in Manduria, Italy, as a B-24 Flight Engineer. Milton graduated from Tennessee Tech of Cookeville, TN., where he earned a BS in Industrial Arts. He was employed with Knoxville Iron Co., Engineer; Robert Shaw Fulton-Development Engineer; TVA Civil Hydro, Engineer; Turner Engineering and taught drafting at Knoxville Evening High School, He also volunteered at UT Hospital for sixteen years, 2,000 hours. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Doris C. Noel; two brothers and four sisters. Milton is survived by his daughter, Melanie Noel Feathers; grandson and wife, MAJ Scott and Melanie Feathers; granddaughter and husband, Amy and Kyle Stewart. Also survived by great-grandchildren, Robby and Ryan Feathers; and Matthew and Callie Stewart; special friend and son-in-law, John W. Feathers. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 14, 2010, from 1-2:00 pm at Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel, with the service at 2:00 pm, with Dr. Dave Ward officiating.
