Anne passed away in White Rock, BC at the age of 101 and 7 months.
Anne was born in Sturgis, Saskatchewan. Her mother, Anastasia, died when Anne was 3 and she was raised by her father, Michael Narowski.
In the mid 1950’s, Anne came to Vancouver, joining VGH’s Social Work Dept. Later, when with the City of Vancouver Welfare and Rehabilitation Department, she met Cyril Greengrass, a City Planner. Together, they shared many adventures and much laughter. After he passed away in 1985, Anne moved to join friends in sunny White Rock/S. Surrey.
Anne was an amazing lady, who was self-sufficient and always cared about the welfare of others.
Thank you to the staff at Peace Arch for encouraging her in rehabilitation at 98 and at 101!
Anne will be missed by the families of Carol (John), Ken (Gayle), Peter (Cathy); by many long-term and close friends including Gary, Susan, Diane, Vic, Carolyn, Everitt, Barbara, Bernice, Alison, Heather, and Gordon; and by “her” dog.
In memory of Anne, please consider donating to the charity of your choice.
