

PAGE, Arthur RoyAge 92 went to be with his Lord and heavenly family on October 21, 2016 at Val Haven rest home, where he resided. Mr. Page is survived by his daughter, Trudy (Merv); granddaughter, Nadine (Clay); grandson, Shaun (David); great-granddaughter, Amelia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda, in November 2007. Art was a veteran of the Second World War, where he earned a France and Germany Star, a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He grew up in Pender Harbour, the son of Joe and Eva Page, along with his siblings, Evangeline, Thelma, Joe, and Lawrence. He served two years and nine months as a Private in Canada, United Kingdom, and Continental Europe before being discharged on June 25, 1946, at the age of 21. Art worked at the Canadian Forces Base, Aldergrove and Chilliwack, where he worked as a driver until he retired. He loved his family, singing, fishing, and taking long walks. Arthur was an amazing example of a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be greatly missed. Services will be held on November 19 at 1:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 27555-31 Avenue, Aldergrove, BC.
