She worked for B.C. Telephone as a telephone operator, and later returned to work as a waitress at age 50. Above all, Betty was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Rand Lien (Liz), Laurie Wright (Randy), Jim Lien (Irene), and Dawn Harris (Randy), along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, no service will be held. A family gathering will take place in the summer to celebrate her life.
