Caroline Isak

Caroline Isak, of Surrey, B.C., passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by her beloved family and accompanied by both song and prayer. She passed peacefully into the safe arms of Jesus and entered her eternal, heavenly home.

Born on September 16, 1943, in Mramorak, Yugoslavia, Caroline was the cherished daughter of John Ritzmann and Julianna David, and the youngest of their five children. She immigrated to Canada at the age of 13. On October 13, 1963, she was united in holy matrimony to Konstantine Isak. Following her husband’s passing in 1980, Caroline gracefully took on the profound responsibility of raising and caring for their seven children on her own. Caroline found great joy in sewing, needlework, singing hymns, and playing both the piano and the accordion. Above all, she devoted her life to loving, caring for, and supporting her family.

For more than 64 years, Caroline was a faithful and humble member of the Apostolic Christian Church. She dedicated her life to nurturing her children’s faith, ensuring they knew Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour. Caroline was a deeply loving wife, mother, Oma, Great-Oma , sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her children: David (Guadalupe) and their children, Amy (James), David, and Elijah; Rose (Tom) and their son, Gabriel; Sam; Phillip (Kristi) and their children, Naomi, Reuben, and Caleb; Violetta (Christopher); Ed (Audrey) and their children, Aidan, Sean, Donovan, and Ian; and Darlene (Paul) and their children, Joshua, Amber (Joseph), Anthony, and Nicholas. She is also survived by her great-grandson, Judah, son of Amber and Joseph.

Caroline will be lovingly remembered by her cherished family, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and deep love for her family will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are warmly invited to the graveside ceremony at Sunnyside Lawn Cemetery on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 1:00PM located at 14850 -28th Ave, Surrey BC. Then join us with the Celebration of Life service at 2:30pm. This will be held at White Rock Community Church, located at 15280 Pacific Avenue, White Rock, BC.
