

Dorothy Winnifred Agnew (Allman, Boyes) died peacefully, surrounded by family, in Mission BC, September 18, 2025 at the age of 104. Born March 18, 1921 in New Westminster. Dorothy was raised in Vancouver and loved to play field hockey and was active throughout school. She worked for Active Trading for over 20 years. Dorothy was known for following the horse races, running through the house at the sound of the start of the races. She also loved singing and joined the Sweet Adelines with her sister and later the Happy Gang Choir where she made many lifelong friends and became conductor. They performed for many senior homes over the years.
Dorothy married and had 3 children, Joe, Marilyn and David. Years later in 1972 she met the love of her life Fred Agnew. Dorothy and Fred loved to travel. They enjoyed many cruises and trips. Barbados was one of their favorite places. Fred and Dorothy moved to Mission, BC to be closer to their grandchildren. They spent a lot of time with their granddaughters baking, sewing and knitting.
Dorothy is survived by her children Joe (Elana), Marilyn, David (Christine), grandchildren Debbie, Angie, Shelley, Jason and Michael, great grandchildren Joey, Emily, Brooklyn, Sean, Ella, Parker and Colten, and her great great grandchildren Brinley, Oaklyn, Greyson, Benjamin and Edward. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Fred and her siblings Gwen, Harold, Kay, Dick, Grace and Jack.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Chartwell, 32700 7th Ave Mission.
