Jaz was the most caring, thoughtful, loving and supportive husband. I was so lucky to have a partner in my life like Jaz. Besides being my best friend and husband he was the best dad ever. He was kind, gentle, and he loved his son so much. It radiates from him. Jaz passing on our son’s 5th birthday was the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. But, I knew Jaz always wanted us to celebrate him. One time he told me, “Sandeep, when I die, I don’t want anyone to cry at my funeral. I was it to be a celebration.” Funny, that was years before his diagnosis. Even more ironic, our son’s name in Punjabi means “to celebrate.” I love you Jaz, and I hope that I see you again one day. I hold onto that hope everyday ❤️

You were a friendly  outgoing, strong, intelligent person. We used to hang out playing video games, football, and long bike rides from the old neighbourhood all the way down to the seawall when we were younger.

I'll miss the latest hip hop and house music you used to always find.

I didn't have the chance to hang out since moving back but I always remember the outgoing person you were.

My condolences to you sister, mother, grandmother and anyone else in your life.

I met jazz in grade 9 at high school and we became instant friends. He had the biggest heart ❤️  and was always there for me. I just found out about him passing away. I am in shock and tears. I know he is in heaven. I hope all his loved ones are at peace. I am going to miss my dear friend a lot .I have lots of fond memories of him and us hanging out. RIP.

We never got a chance to say goodbye. But I wanted to thank you for being there and helping raise my little girl Nina and being there for her. I want to thank you for being a good uncle to my girls Daniella and Nyala that I’m raising as well. You always went out of your way for them. You spent lots of time in the kitchen making healthy meals and snacks for them and were always so helpful packing food for Nina when she’d come over to stay with us and her sisters. You grew up to become a better man when Nina was born. I’ll also never forget all the driving you used to do for us when I was young and didn’t have my license. It was nice to return the favour for you when you couldn’t drive and I could. We will all miss you Jaston. I added a photo of you with Nina on her 1st birthday we had for her. RIParadise. 

My fondest memory of Jaz is that bright warm smile always..... over the many years I can’t remember a single time that I’ve ever saw Jaz without that big smile that always made you feel welcomed without even a word. I think he’s probably up there in heaven smiling down at all of us as we speak ❤️

I know that Jaz was well loved and respected. He had great character and a big heart.Those who love us never go away. I hope you know that even during this dark time, Jaz will always be with you in spirit.

Jaz was my brothers best friend. They were close even when my brother moved away to Vancouver Island and rarely came back to Vancouver. I remember Jaz as a kid always around as we lived in the same housing Project and he was always around with my brother. My brother passed away in December and I recall the conversations me and him had and he would always bring up Jaz. He was worried about him because he knew he was having health issues. I hope that my brother was there to meet Jaz on the other side and he could help Jaz as I know how much Jaz will be missing his beautiful family. Rest In Peace my friend.
