Ken always loved the outdoors and will be dearly missed as a father, brother, grandpa, and great-grandpa; however, we find solace in knowing that he will now see sunrises from a far better vantage point.
Ken never let an adventure escape him in his 90 years on this earth. His zest for life was always evident by his contagious smile and larger than life el bandito moustache, which he proudly displayed his entire life. Stories from the countless places he travelled and photographed, meals he cooked, and life long friends he made along the way, will be shared for generations.
From his early days, Ken was always a driving force and entrepreneur no matter where he put his energy. He was president of the Surrey Fish and Game club for 14 years, a chartered member of the BC 4 Wheel Drive Association, president of 4 Wheels West and leader of Surdel 4 Wheelers. He advocated in front of City Council in the 70’s on behalf of the Regional Wild-Life Association about hunting in Surrey, and again on behalf of all of 4x4 enthusiasts as President of 4 Wheels West and the Surdel 4 Wheelers. He made friends wherever he went.
Ken never stopped loving life; evidenced by his willingness to learn how to snowboard at 70, complete his first skydive at 79, and the joy he felt whenever he was surrounded by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His love, laughter, and stories will remain in our hearts forever.
