Lily Fox was 87 years old (1936), born and raised in Vancouver British Columbia in the early years, and living in Walnut Grove, Langley, and then briefly at Elim Village in Surrey. Mom went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Her Christian faith was an essential part of her daily life, serving in Church Choir’s, as a Pioneer Girls leader and Anvil Island Camp Cook for many years. Her passion in life was meeting and making new friends wherever she went, staying connected with her childhood friends, and having family and friends to their home for dinner. From those times with family and friends, she enjoyed making beautiful photo album memories that she just loved to look through in her later years. She was a loving wife to our dad, Don Fox for 66 1/2 years, and who she missed so very much after his passing February 28, 2023. She was a mother of 4, grandmother of 7, and a wonderful cook for hundreds of kids at the Anvil Island camps. Together, Mom and Dad enjoyed an amazing retirement spending their summer months with family and friends at their cabin on Christina Lake, BC, their winter months in Arizona, with multiple cruises and road trips in between. Now reunited with Dad, Lily is survived by her loving children Rick Fox (Shelley), Ken (Susan) Fox, Karen (Fox) Roberts, and Steve (Sharlayne) Fox, and her much loved grandchildren. We are all appreciative for the many messages of condolences we have received.
A Celebration of Life service for family and friends will be held at North Langley Community Church on Tuesday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m. We would honor your presence with us as we celebrate Mom’s life. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Daybreak Point Bible Camp Society (Anvil Island), Dining Hall Renovation Project at https://www.anvilisland.ca/donate/ would be appreciated.
