Marion Lorna Smith

Marion Lorna Smith was born in Innisfail, Alberta on September 23, 1922 into a family of eleven. She passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2026 at the Mayfair Care Home in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Lorna was our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by her loving husband LaRue of 49 years, sons Grant and Stan, granddaughter Cindy and great-grandson David and son-in-law Roger Stronstad.

Lorna is survived by her daughter Laurel Stronstad, son Keith (Sandy), daughters-in-law Donna (Grant) and Kathryn (Peter Milner). Lorna is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren, as well as her two sisters Mavis Williams and Rosemary Silver, not to mention numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorna is most remembered for her love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the love she had for her family and friends, and the wonderful prayer warrior that she was. Her prayers for family and friends were greatly appreciated by all that knew and loved her.

Her memorial service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 27555 - 31st Avenue, Aldergrove, BC.
