It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma and Great Gramma, Nona Mary Ella Harris. Nona passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 95 years. Nona was born in the small community of Shamrock, Saskatchewan, the youngest of three daughters to David and Celia Kelly. She married Robert Murray Harris on October 28, 1949. The first two years of their married life was spent in Spences Bridge. After that they moved to Mission as Murray accepted a teaching position at Mission Senior Secondary. As a long time resident of Mission, Mom enjoyed reading and was at the library twice a week. She was an avid curler and loved to play bridge. Both Nona and Murray travelled extensively and enjoyed many trips together, especially to Ireland.
Nona is survived by her daughter Kelly-Anne (Larry) and Jill (Bruce); grandchildren: Brianna (Ryan), Ryan (Melissa), Ashley (James), Kevin (Kirby), Colin and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray who passed away in 2016.
In her memory, on St. Patrick’s Day (one of her favourite days) raise a glass and toast her life well lived. At her request there will be no service.
