On Sunday, March 27th 2022, Norma Ann Bryant (nee Calladine) passed away peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother(Nana), great-grandma and aunt. Norma was gentle, kind, sincere and ever witty with a sassy comeback. She will also be remembered for her willingness to always be there and do for others.
Norma was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on September 20th, 1932, to her parents Bertram and Gladys Calladine. After growing up in Saskatoon she then moved to Vancouver with her family where she eventually met and married her husband Larry. They were married on October 10th, 1954 and had two children together. As a young family they moved to California in 1962 where they resided and both worked until 1975. Upon which they returned to Canada and spent the next 45 years in the Victoria, BC area close to most of their families. After both of them retiring, Norma and Larry traveled several times a year to visit their daughter and family in California. They made many stops along the way, especially along the coast. Larry loved to golf and Norma loved to shop, and of course always making time for a coffee stop along the way...many times! Norma later moved to Chilliwack, BC in August 2020 to a beautiful senior complex Chartwell Birchwood where she was loved and cherished by all and to be near her oldest grandson and his family. Norma's greatest passion in life was being with her family. If she could hold all of her grandchildren on her lap, she would. She loved to share a story, a favorite song or nursery rhyme, and most of all a special treat. Norma also loved to cook big extravagant meals and bake for everyone. Norma's beautiful spirit, her laughter, her sassy sense of humor and her ability to make anyone and everyone in her presence smile, are just a few of the reasons this remarkable woman will be sorely missed. Norma was predeceased by her husband Larry Bryant, and their son Gary Bryant.
She is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cindy, Sandra, daughter-in-law Heather, her four grandchildren Cris(Christy), Keri, Katrina(Rod), Andrew, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
