Mrs Patricia ""Pat"" Laverne (Lloyd) Hanna

Pat was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. She moved to Toronto Ontario with her family when she was 5 years old after her father received a promotion to Head of Lands and Forests. They lived on Main St. for a brief period and then moved to their family home at 26 Dixon Ave. She attended Norway public school and then on to Eastern Commerce. When she graduated, her first job was with the Department of Super Annuation for Teachers Pension Plans. She was only 19 years old and running the office.

Pat met Jim Hanna that year, an introduction made by her mother. He says this was the luckiest day of his life. It took convincing, but he grew on her. Jim went away to Sudbury and when he got back, they knew they were meant to be together. They were the loves of their lives.

She loved to get back to Sioux Lookout to fish, she was a particularly good angler, and her favourite catch was pickerel.

Pat had two daughters, Susan Hanna, and Mori Evans (Kelly). She worshipped them. She helped her father C.E. (Elliot) Lloyd by becoming a caregiver to her mother, Nellie Lloyd, for 6 years while raising two girls. she was one of the strongest people anyone could know.

Pat, Jim and their two girls moved to Abbotsford in 1974 where they settled and became part of the community. Pat participated in men's hockey through Jim and had the job of keeping score as well as dubbed team "Mom". She was also incredibly involved in Fraser Valley Slo-Pitch again as a scorekeeper and where she was known as "Ma Raider".

She was lucky enough to have 3 Grandchildren, Alex Jurczak (MJ), Clair Sayce and Stuart Sayce. She also had 1 Great Grandchild, Luke Jurczak.

She loved unconditionally and she had many friends and family members who loved her such as, her brother Don (Judy), Sister-In-Laws Ann Epp (Jack), Pat Abbott, Wanda Groke, Brother-In-Law John Hanna as well as many nieces and nephews.
