Betty Carolyn McKissick

Betty Carolyn McKissick passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on July 18, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Claude and Dorothy Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those who knew Betty knew a woman of intelligence, diligence, but above all, selflessness. She was someone who approached life with purpose and a hard-working resolve. She gave of herself with consideration, warmth, and generosity. Offering encouragement and practical help alike to anyone who needed it, leaving behind the imprint of a life lived with integrity and purpose.

A special joy in Betty’s life was the love she shared with her two dogs, Gabbi and Lexi, who were a big part of their lives and held a cherished place in her heart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 35 years, Dennis McKissick; children, Wendy Golden and Brian Lay; her two fur babies, Gabbi and Lexi; as well as numerous other beloved family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002, US, on May 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Graveside Service at Pinecrest Memorial Park on at 2:00 pm.
