Danny "Buzz" May

Danny "Buzz" May was born in Carlisle on January 10, 1939 and died at his home on December 12, 2015. He was 76 years old. Buzz grew up in Carlisle Arkansas and was a 1957 graduate of Carlisle High School. He received his degree from ASTC in Conway Arkansas with a B.A. in math. He was founder and owner of United Conveyer and Material Handling Company and also very proud to be a 32nd degree Mason. An active member in his community, he served on numerous boards in Saline and Pulaski County. He was instrumental in seeing that the building that was acquired for the Senior Adult Center was remodeled and equipped to handle all senior adult activities. In addition, he was a very active member of the board of Bryant House in Bryant and was a founding member of the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. and Lora May, infant sister, Rachel, sister, Theresa Davis, and step-son, Russ Combee. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn "Cissie" May, daughters, Julie (Darin) Wewers, Christy (Josh) Plummer, and step-daughter, Eve (Pete) Chifo, eight grandchildren and beloved dog, Charlie. Services will be held at Bryant First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving or Bryant United Methodist Church.
