

David A. “Gramps” Hunter of Little Rock, AR, Born on May 30, 1949 and passed away due to health complications on March 20, 2024. After graduating from Stuttgart High School, David joined the United States Air Force Air National Guard as a photographer. Following his time in the military, he furthered his career as the photographer and videographer for the Arkansas Highway Department until his retirement in 1998.
David, Dave, Daddy, Gramps, Hunter, Hunner or Captain are all names he went by with his friends and family. He loved sailing, photography, and the outdoors. He was happiest when sharing his vast amount of knowledge of these things with his friends, family, and anyone wanting to learn. Above all those things, Gramps most enjoyed supporting “his girls.” He was their #1 fan.
David is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda Knoll Hunter; his parents, Carl and Mary Ann Hunter; and his brother, Scott Hunter. He is survived by his daughter, Sandy (Eric) Miller, and his granddaughter, Alex Miller; his nephews, Scott (Kym) Hunter and Britt (Cindy) Hunter; his niece, Jess Hunter; and great nieces and nephews, Kira, Alyssa, Conner, and Riley Hunter.
A visitation for David will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 1:30 PM, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. A burial will occur Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 10201 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas 72002.
